  1. School shooter chose random victims

In this article is talked about a school shooting in Chardon, Ohio. It mentioned how none of the targets were premeditated, but random. "...fired 10 shots from a handgun and was also armed with a knife" said a prosecutor Tuesday during a court hearing. T.J. Lane is the the boy who committed the crime and is probably going to be charged as an adult. He is 17 as of now.

This article is important because it shows that people you would never expect to do something horrible will do crazy things sometimes. This boy obviously had some issues with the school, it doesn't mention why he did it but the best guess would be bullying. When kids are pushed to hard they can reach a point of insanity. This article is interesting because he, just like people in Westhampton was a normal boy, you never know how words can effect somebody. This is a tragedy, but hopefully its one step closer to people recognizing bullying can end up killing someone, even if its not the victim.

  2. IAEA is afraid that iran is holding nuclear weapons. They feel the Iran is trying to clean up Parchin site so they wont find the explosives. Iran is being suspicious and wont let anyone see the Parchin site which leads many to believe that there are nuclear weapons. A senior official said it was up to the military to decide if U.N inspectors would be allowed to visit Parchin. Fereydoun Abbasi-Davani has quoted that "Whether or not IAEA inspectors can visit Parchin will be a decision for the country's military officials." U.N inspectors did in fact visit Parchin in 2005 and found no nuclear weapons but they did not see the the place were the IAEA now believe the explosives are.

Its important because Iran might be hiding nuclear weapons to harm us. There is an issue because these explosives are not allowed to be there and they can kill many millions of peoples. The article was interesting because obviously what is going on in Iran is very important to our military and government.

  3. Jaslow,Ryan "Active" video games like Wii Fit won't boost kids' physical activity: Study CBS News February 27, 2012,February 27, 2012
    http://www.cbsnews.com/2102-504763_162-57385999.html?tag=contentMain;contentBody

This article is about how kids now and don’t get a good amount of time exercising. Because they’re too busy being couch potatoes spending most of their time on video games. Also how some active games that their parents get don’t really help them exercise. They made a study on kids that play sports and kids that play wii fit plus and dance dance revolution to see how much they actually move. It proved that those games don’t actually get their heart rate going then if you actually played a sport. Active video games don’t get them active, as they should be kid should spend at least 60 minutes exercising of some sort.

This is important because its talking how bout how kids now and days don’t really go outside and exercise or do sports. They spend most of their time playing video games on the couch. This is an interesting development because it talks about how bad it is not to get exercise and kids are going start to get fat. The article is interesting because it shows how bad video games are changing the athleticism for kids. the opinion of the this article would be that kids should start exercising more so the obesity in the country lowers .

Teenager suspected in an Ohio school shooting who has struggled with a broken family and school, who later turned himself around once he was taken in by his grandparents and began to attend to school. A 22-caliber revolver was missing after Monday’s shooting and fits the description of the pistol that was used to kill three students and wounded two others. Confessing taking a pistol and a knife to Chardon High School and firing 10 shots at a group of students sitting at a table in the cafeteria, which was said to be “ shooting accidental.” “ he went from flunking out from what I understand to almost a straight A student with honors and he was going to graduate a year early,” Miller said who knew Lane since he was 5 or 6 years old. Hundreds of people marched together to the school Tuesday evening at St. Mary Catholic Church to pray, while banners from a rival high school had signatures from other students showing their support.
Unfortunately tragedies like this are important to know and be acknowledge of because you never know when this can happen again and it may never stop if schools have higher security systems. This is an issue to everyone to schools, family, friends and students because everyone suffers from a tragic lost like this. Sometimes you may think school are the safest place you can be and nothing will happen to you but the interesting part is that it may not be the case in this situation but unfortunately no place or school are safe anymore now a days. Sometimes things in order to be changed, things have to happen in order for that change to happen and that’s when we realize that we need to make things better, but in this case we need to make our school a safer environment not only in school shooting but in all the bullying and abuse that happens in schools all across the United States.

This article is about Japan’s latest hit from recent tsunamis and the amount of trouble it is causing surrounding oceans. The number of tsunamis that hit japan has caused a lot of damage. It has nearly killed thousands of people, wiped out food supply and damages every thing that was built there.

The leading damage doesn’t just stop at japan; it’s going to start affecting elsewhere such as oceans. The tsunamis generated a total of 20 million to 25 million tons of debris, including what was left on land.‘Yender said that so far, no debris confirmed to be from the tsunamis has landed on U.S, shores, including large buoys suspected to be from Japanese oyster farms found in Alaska last year”.

In this article it talks about how there was a yoga champion in New York’s 2011 yoga asana. Kelsea Bangora was New York’s champion and it was said that competing for yoga is “its like a dance performance, sort of, or a gymnastics routine, but not really.” It said that with yoga you have to connect the body with the mind and breath with the movements that you do. United States Yoga Federation will be hosting the ninth New York Regional and National Yoga Asana Championship this week. Overall, yoga isn’t just something you do to connect together now is turned into competition.

This article is important because if someone does yoga and wants to compete for it then now they know about it and can go to compete. It demonstrates an issue because last year’s winner, Kelsea Bangora said that “no one feels good about their performance on stage” even though yoga is suppose to relax your mind. The article was interesting because many people wouldn’t think that yoga could be in a competition and that yoga is only for the body, mind, and stress.

A seventeen-year-old boy named T.J Lane took a pistol and a knife to school last Monday. He went up to a table in the cafeteria and fired 10 shots. Three of the students shot died and two were wounded. “He never saw hints of what was coming” says pastor Sawczak who has worked with trouble kids for years. T.J’s motive is still unknown, although Joyce has appeared to rule out theories involving bullying or drug dealing.

This article is important because you really don’t know how other people are thinking or feeling. It’s interesting because you definitely can’t judge a book by its cover anymore. This is an issue because anyone could just snap one day and you might not see it coming. Our actions and what we say to people could really affect others and bullying is becoming a big problem. Although bullying was ruled out, it could still be a possibility.

CNN Wire Staff “ Cruise Line: 22 passengers robbed in Mexican seaside resort” CNN on the web, Monday February 27, March 1st 2012.

In this article is explains how a along an excursion in Mexico, 22 passengers of the Carnival Splendor cruise ship were robbed. This robbery happened 2 weeks after the U.S State Department issued a travel warning to Americans to try to avoid travel to all or parts of 14 Mexican States. One of the states advised to avoid was Jalisco and a city In that state is Puerto Vallarta [the sixth-largest city in Jalisco] where the passengers were robbed. Cruise lines now are starting to drop Mexican itineraries because of the danger and violence that is going on. "Carnival is working with guests to reimburse them for lost valuables and assist with lost passports or other forms of identification," the statement said. Obviously now people will be more aware on their Mexican excursions!

This is important because too many people go into their cruise ships with no idea of what could happen. Some of the stops that are made are in very bad areas like Mexico so if you have to be aware you could get robbed or killed. This is an interesting development because people can debate on whether Carnival and other cruise ships should put these destinations on their itinerary knowing the risk they are putting they’re passenger in. Extreme destinations all over the world with extreme cash, but is it worth the money? I hope It doesn’t take an extreme catastrophe for cruise ships too take larger precautions!

We can believe in whatever god we want to so why cant you marry the same sex. it is there choice and it is not affecting others, so why is it such a big deal. you have every right to marry who ever you wish

On Monday February 27th a 17-year-old boy named TJ Lane opened fire at Chardon High School killing 3 fellow students. Daniel Parmertor, Demetrius Hewlin, and Russell King sadly were not able to overcome their shot wounds, and two other students still remain in serious condition at Metro Hospital. Chardon high school students were left frightened, nervous, and grief stricken. Grief counselors will be at the high school for as long as needed to try to help students come to terms with the terrible tragedy. Disaster response coordinator Tom Olbrich said, “Kids are going to go through a range of reactions in the next days and weeks”, and Chardon’s community has come together to be there for one another during this difficult time.

School shootings are a terrifying tragedy that shouldn’t ever even occur. School officials need to pay more attention to warning signs, and not take a single thing or threat lightly. It is so important that students are heard especially if the things that they are feeling could result in something as terrible as what Chardon high school is going through now. Kids shooting kids is unthinkable, and just plain wrong. If students notice or hear something that another student is feeling or has said then school officials, parents, adults, police, etc. should be told immediately.

This article tells about how in the small town of Harrisburg, Illinois, a tornado came through at ripped the town apart. 6 people were killed and over 100 people were injured. This area is prone to often tornados, but this one ripped right through the town. The town is filled with old miners and people who have lived there for a long time. They have been hit hard and it will take a long time for them to get the town back to the way it was.

The importance of this article is that the media is telling us about how a town is now devastated by a horrific storm. It also can be a way for people to want to help which would really help the town progress from where it is now. It demonstrates the issue by using real interesting pictures and quoting people from the town. Articles like this are the best way to share information throughout the world.

This is an article about a shooting in an Ohio high school in which he killed on student and critically injured 4 others. He was caught a short distance by FBI officials. The strange thing is that the kid was from another school and had no connections to the kids he shot at. He was not even bullied in his own school, "Even though he was quiet, he still had friends," said Tyler Lillash, 16. "He was not bullied.". The suspect T.J Lane is being charged with murder in the 1st degree and many other charges.

    Lazarus Regueiro

I think this is important because it show that no matter how a kid looks, even if he is not bullied, he can have problems and should be nice to everyone. I think it shows that schools should have metal detectors, not so much security checks though because that could cause issues. I found this article interesting because most school shootings have a person who was bullied and who targets the bully, while this student was not bullied and went to a random school and targeted random kids.

Everyone’s wondering where winter was this year. In December 22 % of USA was snow covered the smallest amount since 2006. The cause of this is that’s the polar jet stream, which brings cold air down into the USA, stayed north. New York liked its second warmest winter since 1869 besides 2001. "Think of the jet stream as a jump rope," he says, "with the NAO providing the amount of tension. When the NAO is positive, this adds tension to the rope, not allowing the jet stream to sag south."- Says meteorologist Guy Walton.

This is important because we had a very light winter this year and I like snow. It demonstrates issues because some people like snow and some people don’t. It was interesting because I wish it snowed more and I love snow so it’s interesting to me. This article was true but wouldn’t liked more snow.

    http://www.newsday.com/sports/baseball/yankees/hal-wants-to-trim-yankees-payroll-by-2014-1.3570392

According to Hal Steinbrenner, son of the late George Steinbrenner, and head of the Yankees by the year of 2014 the Yankees will have a payroll of $189 Million Dollars. The Main Reasoning for the sudden desire for a lowered payroll is being able to avoid a possible 50% luxury tax to pay if the payroll isn’t at the desired $189 Million dollar mark after the new CBA approved for MLB. With a current luxury tax at 40% at a payroll over $178 Million but after tax having a payroll in 2011 of $212.7 Million. With young talent on the rise Hal feels he can compete with the lowered salary. We will have to see how Hal’s plan pans out as the season starts a little more than a month away as the Yankees try to get their 28th Championship.

After a disappointing season last year in the postseason losing to Detroit in the ALDS after winning an A.L. high 97 games the Yankees are definitely looking to improve. Now, the Yankees always known to be high spenders, will be interesting to watch seeing how they are trying to have success in a different way trying to cut their payroll. This offseason the Yankees addressed there biggest need and added depth to their pitching staff to help Ace CC Sabathia. After trading what GM Brian Cashman called the best player he has ever traded to Seattle, Catcher Jesus Montenero, a highly regarded prospect for pitcher Michael Pineda another great young prospect. The Yankees also added veteran Hideki Kuroda so with more depth their problem of pitching should be resolved. It will be a great season to watch, Opening Day will be Friday, April 13, 2012.

This article is about how in the south the weather has been very bad. There have been many tornadoes and are expected to get even stronger ones. These tornadoes already have killed 13 people. This story is talking about a man individually and how his grandparents have encountered the storm and was not able to live. He stand at the road where all of the houses were taken down by this tornado. The weather service planned to bring a severe-weather specialist to the region’s command center to provide up-to-the-minute information before and during the storms. “If you’re asleep, you’re less likely going to hear anything, any warning message on the danger,” Brooks said.
This article is important because this is a serious issue. The weather is killing people. You need to take charge and evacuate if you feel. It demonstrates as an issue because people are constanly worried about what will happen next, and what the next storm will be like. The article was interesting because you really understood the guy in it and how he felt about everything. People need to care for their safety and having an update on the storm every minute will be very helpful

  17. Federal Judge Blocks Anti-Smoking Images Required on Tobacco Products

The Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act required tobacco companies to have written warning signs on the product labels. But tobacco companies sued against these warnings, they figured the new labels would ruin the packaging and promotion of their brands. The problem: Was the new labeling fact or was it designed to keep people from buying the product? Judge Richard Leon sided with the tobacco companies, saying that those requirements were a violation of the freedom of speech. Leon clarified the problem explaining the new label ideas, “Rather they were crafted to evoke a strong emotional response calculated to provoke the viewer to quit or never start smoking.”

This article is important because there is a major problem with tobacco. The Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act both were just trying to save people’s health. It is not the Tobacco companies’ jobs to largely display the issues that tobacco comes with. It’s unbelievable that tobacco companies are still in business because the majority of people know how negatively tobacco affects health. Yet they continue to buy it. The Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act were trying to get people to realize how bad tobacco is. When the product itself shows the end result, most consumers would realize the negativity in tobacco.

This article is about a boy named TJ Lane who had murdered 3 boys at school has been charged with 3 counts of aggravated murder Thursday. He had killed 3 innocent boys at an Ohio High School. This article also interviews the parent of the boys who were killed. “My brother was the happiest kid on the planet," Dominic Parmertor said of Daniel. "He never got mad at anybody. He just loved to have fun. And when he was happy, other people were happy." It’s just so sad to hear of this tragic story.
This is important to the community in which this tragic event had taken place. People want to hear this horrible update and many people around the country are reading this sad story about how TJ had ended the lives of 3 gifts from God. This demonstrates the issue of how if you do something wrong there will be lots of consequences in return of the bad decisions you make. This is an interesting development because you don’t hear of these tragic events everyday and its just horrible to think of what the families of those who died are going through. I don’t think this article is interesting because its so tragic and sad but in a way it’s a eye opener that there are people out there that can hurt others and you have to be aware of your surroundings and always prepare for something even if there’s like a 1% chance of it happening. In my opinion , there should be further consequences then just putting him in jail because he had taken away the lives of 3 teenagers who are completely innocent .

In 1955, military researchers were using soldiers to test drugs like LSD or poisonous gasses. If the drug they used had the effect the military was looking for, it would be used against the Soviet Union. Men as young as 18 would volunteer for these tests. Now, most of them suffer post-traumatic stress disorder, breathing problems, and many other serious health issues.
War veterans look back on the days they were tested and would’ve preferred to go to jail instead of doing these tests. They have been denied veteran disability benefits and have become seriously ill. “It didn’t look like a military base, it looked more like a hospital” said Tim Josephs. Before he arrived at Edgewood in Maryland, they claimed he would be testing army field jackets, clothing, and weapons, but no drugs of chemicals. When he arrived at Edgewood, he was already being tested. Sometimes he would receive an injection and other days he would receive a pill. Today, age 63, he’s being hospitalized for tremors similar to Parkinson’s disease that he’s had since the testing ended. The article reveals an issue that could still be going on today. War veterans should receive proper treatment and benefits because they gave themselves to military testing that they weren’t supposed to receive.

When the tornado hit Harrisburg it lead to people “cowing inside closets as ceiling tore away, huddling under mattresses showered by glass, metal, and wood. “ So far the total death toll is at 9,017.
This town has received blow after blow even before this major storm happened. They have been having to rebuild over and over again. My question is that how much funding do they for this town? Two ethicists from Australia's Melbourne University have inspired a fierce idea by suggesting that killing newborn babies "should be allowed in all the cases where abortion is." The professors Alberto Giubilini and Francesca Minerva argue in an article published in the British Journal of Medical Ethics that neither fetuses or newborns have the same moral status as actual persons because they're not yet aware of their own existence so after-birth abortion is no different to abortion during pregnancy. The authors have reportedly received a torrent of angry responses even death threats from angry readers. Is there any legit reason to make such a shocking proposal?

The article is about a guy named Steve Novak who plays for the Knicks. He has been stepping up his game and is becoming a better player. His main strength is 3 pointers. His family is what got him into basketball. They have been basketball fans their entire life.
Steve Nowak is important because he is part of why the kicks are doing so well this season because of his 3 pointers. The issue is that he needs to work on his regular playing skills in different areas. The Knicks are developing more and more every day. They will become a better team if they do what they are doing now.

This article explains the coral reefs in the florida keys are the most endangered coral reefs in the world. According to Ken Nedimyer, coral reefs are the most magical thing in the world. This threatening species inspired him to try and save it. He started something called the Coral Restoration Foundation which has grown more than 25,000 staghorn and elkhorn corals in underwter nurseries.

I think this article is important because some people don't realize how beautiful it is under the water and how important it is to keep it that way. Nedimyer is a hero and did a great thing for the coral reef in the keys of florida. He was dedicated and truly cared about restoring it. Not only are they beautiful but they are there for the underwater animals and they were saved as well.

  27. Ohio high schoolers head back to class after fatal shooting
    By the CNN Wire Staff
updated 5:31 AM EST, Fri March 2, 2012

Highschool students at Ohio Chardon Highschool are preparing to go back to the highschool again after the fatal shooting that had killed 3 students, hospitilized 2 other students and shots had skimmed one child, The person responsible is T.J. Lane a 17 year old aggravated teenager who had been charged on thursday three times with aggravated murder, two more times with attempted aggravated murder and one felonious assault. By the end of the Shooting there had been three deaths Daniel Parmertor, 16, who died Monday; Demetrius Hewlin, 16, who died Tuesday morning; and Russell King Jr., 17, who was declared brain dead Tuesday...And In 2009 Lane had been charged with more charges for beating his father up and the police coming into the father on the floor with blood knocked out becuase Lane had teamed up with his friend.

This is important because it shows that Schools arn't taken seriously enough and that if a child is pissed enough he can take actions to far. This demonstrates that Some schools aren't taking violence seriouse enough after the several shootings that have been done the past several years. What lane did was completely wrong but maybe the story from his side is different, But taking three teenagers lives isn't acceptable, and the court isn't taking enough action on the kid

My vlog was about killings in seria and the middle east. After watching this vlog I am not surprised just beacause the middle east and its people are an extremely corrupt and unjust group of people. However, I am surprised that seria is "begging" for help in this situation rather than dealing with the problems themselves. Considering they are in and or near the "holy land" an that they are so religious, I feel that they should reach out to their "alighty" Allah instead of looking for help.

Obviously its an extremely unfortunate and sad circumstance but it doesn't give them the right to blame their problems on the united states and our non-religious Christan way of doing things here. Instead, I feel they should take it opon themselves to figure out and get more mentaly sane political figures rather than letting such and insane individual come into power.

“The return of round numbers is surprising, given that psychologists say customers are less likely to question the value of a product if it had an unusual price.” Some people may be confused of the weird prices, this is an advantage of stores because they can over charge buyers and the buyer doesn’t even realize it. “People tend not to mind paying the same price for a smaller candy bar if they save on calories.” People today are trying to eat lower calories, this is great for the retailers because they can keep the same prize for something smaller and make more money off of the product. “A camera shop might place a relatively expensive camera next to a camera that would be out of reach of most consumers, to persuade the customer to buy the more inexpensive item.”“Bundling a bunch of fruit and vegetables together has all the hallmarks of a special deal, but it often merely helps to convince the customer to buy more products at the same price.” “Gap Inc. and Zara on prices, prices its cotton shirts at $39.90-- not $39.99, which Barnhart says could make Uniqlo sound like a lower-brow discount store.”

A little boy Matthew Levine is an 8-year-old boy who loves to play tennis and baseball. He is very good in school and likes the Yankees. Unfortunately, he’s kidneys can stop working at any moment. At the age of 2, he was diagnosed with focal segmental glomerulosclersosis. He takes 16 pills a day and he has to get blood test every three weeks.
“Battling this disease is like walking on glass in the dark; you never know what these drugs will do to him,” said Matthew’s dad.

This is important to show people that if an 8 year old, with kindeys that can stop working any given moment, hopes and dreams everyday, that everyone should have hope. This is very interesting because this little boy fights everyday for his life with a smile on his face. My opinion is that this little boy is a roll model to every age people that fight for there lives everyday.

MLA Citation ~ Georgia Institute of Technology, Research Communications. "Unusual weather: Arctic sea ice decline may be driving snowy winters seen in recent years in N. Hemisphere." ScienceDaily, 27 Feb. 2012. Web. 1 Mar. 2012.

This article mainly talks about how the deterioration of artic sea ice may be the basis to the above-normal snowy winters in northern United States, northwestern and central Europe, and northern and central China. The NASA Energy and Water Cycle Study and the National Science Foundation (NSF) promoted this research. The people who contributed to this study were Huijun Wang and Mirong Song of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Atmospheric Physics and Radley Horton form the Columbia University Center for Climate Systems Research. The researchers essentially took data from the years 1979 and 2010 and compared the loss of Artic sea ice to the increase of snowfall in the northern hemisphere and realized that the more Artic sea ice that was lost, increased the amount of above-average snowfall in the northern hemisphere.
This is significant because now the researchers have valid evidence of the cause of the above-normal snowfall in the septentrional. This could also be a concern because now the water levels are rising, although not by much, and they are causing random “cold outbreaks in the northern mid-latitudes.” This is an engrossing experiment because scientists and researchers from the United States and from China now know why it gets so cold in the winter, and also why it may sometimes get sweltering in the summer. This is all due to a loss of a plethora of sea ice.

The coral reefs are declining, the fish that live in and around the reefs are dyeing. This is caused by over fishing and pollutions, and climate change. "The rainforest of the sea" bring in both fish and economic for towns on the coast near the reefs. To safe the reefs Nedimyer has created a nursery to grow the reefs.
The importance of the reefs are the economic, people who depend on the fish for food and tourist, and the endanger species are complete depended on the reefs. The issue is getting people involved in helping grow reefs and just to know what is happening to the environment. The reefs are a good thing on both the environment and proof to be necessary to the people and the fish of the Caribbean.

Due to the economy, colleges are cutting training for jobs that the economy needs to prosper. Technical, engineering, and health care are all very expensive things to teach and these are the jobs that colleges want to cut. In some states they eliminated entire engineering and computer science departments. Now many jobs are decreasing due to colleges cutting all the courses that cost the most money to teach.

This week I chose to read the article Pet Custody Cases Increasing, Divorce Lawyers Say. This article is about a rise across the country involving pet custody. If a child and his or her own pet are involved in a divorce judges will usually decide to keep them together. But what if someone’s pet is there child? These cases have become more common due to breakups between same-sex marriages, civil unions and domestic partnerships.
I think this article is important because children aren’t the only things people fight custody over. Some people even consider their pets as more then a best friend. They consider them as their own children. Their pets might be the only ones who they can care for. Also some people might not be able to have children so they turn to animals.

This article is about shooting in a school in Chardon Ohio. T.J Lane is the teenager who killed 3 students, and wounded 2 others in the high school cafeteria. T.J Lane the age of 17 can face life in prison without parole. One of the boys who died (Russell King) in the shooting had dated the same girl, and rode the bus with Lane. People who knew Lane said he was a good listener, skilled skateboarder, a young man who loved to be outside and he loves his dog. An old friend who heard of the shooting didn’t believe it, she said it wasn’t like him at all. Some clues lead to Lanes behavior from his early years, his mother and father were never married and never really had a good relationship, also his older brother Adam was in and out of jail due to drug possession and theft. Their mothers’ parents raised the boys, and they were said to be nice and caring, the grandmother described T.J as remorseful and cries constantly.
I think that this was started from birth, living in a messed up family life is hard, and being a teenager is hard enough, I think he took it to far and was being selfish by taking other people’s lives. He was taking his anger out on other people when he can make his life better himself. I think he should stay in jail, he doesn’t deserve to be free. Angry kids can fix their problems and he didn’t which is his own fault. He was too self-centered to work out his problems

Considering that the murder is 17 he could be charged as an adult if the trial extends long enough. It is still a mystery why this shooting occurred especially because the shooter said it was a random shooting. Clues point to his troubled childhood, like his parents relationships and their fights. Also his brother had been in and out of jail.

EXCLUSIVE: In '02 Romney Touted D.C. Connections, Federal Funds

this article is manly a video about how Mitt Romney is flip flopping on his decisions about federal funds and where the money goes. this is really important subject because the person you are voting could and will lie to get in the presidents office. in fact its already happened in 2008, when Obama had promised the first thing he will do as president will be to bring home all the troops home instead they are going into another county to fight another war. this isn't the first time Mitt has lied about the media always has stories about him making stories up about him and his dad to make the feeling emotional so people feel attached to him. so when you can vote or when you do vote, look into the person a little bit so you know if he is real or not. but there is an even bigger problem the realer the person the more the media ignores them. take Ron Paul for example he is the most consistent canedent in the race but the news never talks about him because he has no dirt on him.

Coca Cola and Pepsi are trying to change the coloring in the drinks because of a new California law. A coloring in the caramel of the drink has something to do with possible cancer. They might be able to reduce it by the cooking process and a result of many foods also. But a person would have to drink 1,000 cans of soda to reach the cancer limit. "While we believe that there is no public health risk that justifies any such change, we did ask our caramel suppliers to take this step so that our products would not be subject to the requirement of a scientifically unfounded warning," said Garza-Giarlante.

This is important because some people consume a lot of Coke or Pepsi. It demonstrates an issue because if this is actually true these companies are going to have many problems. This is interesting because I personally don’t drink much soda at all but for the people who do it can be dangerous. I believe this is true.

MLA Citation: Zoe Kronovet. “Casting a Critical Eye on Kony 2012” thebrandeishoot.com March 8, 2012, <http://thebrandeishoot.com/articles/11729

The article, “Casting a Critical Eye on Kony 2012,” has talked about the recent viral video about Joseph Kony. Joseph Kony is a man that abducts children; he turns the boys into soldiers and usually sends them off back to their hometown to kill their parents and maul their siblings and neighbors that way if they ever escape the town will not allow them back into the premises. Kony also abducts young girls and young women and turns them into sex slaves. Yet this article doesn’t talk about Kony, nor what he is doing, or has been doing, but it talks about the video. The Kony 2012 video went viral in a matter of two days. It all started when one person posted it to facebook.com and then soon after that, people from all across the world were posting the video too. The video is a mere 30 minutes long, but it has the power to change the world, according to Jason Russell that is. He is the leader of Invisible Children, and organization that was started to bring people like Kony out from behind the shadows and into the light, for all to see. Zoe Kronovet seems to wonder why the simple American Teenager cares so much about Kony, and something that is happening that wasn’t even in our reach until we saw the video and were told that we could buy things to support invisible children from kony2012.com. Zoe also said that “I just hope that as American college students search for something greater in which to involve themselves, to maybe try to make to sense of the overwhelming crises we face today as a generation, to create change in the world they do so with their eyes open and the naiveté blinders removed.”
This article is important because it talks about how a teenager can care about what goes on outside of their community, in a place that may even be untouchable to some of us, yet they do not care about what goes on right around the corner from them. This demonstrates an issue because as Kony grows, so does the video, and so does the American teenager’s need to stop it. This is an interesting development because unlike other political movement, this movement has seemed to grow overnight. The article was interesting because it is not someone else’s view of Kony 2012, but is what they think of everyone’s reactions. Zoe Kronovet insinuates that she would like to help out the invisible children organization, but doesn’t yet know how too.

The documentary “Kony 12” is from the invisible children group, about children being abducted and forced to kill their parents, disfigure others faces, and girl forced to be used as sex slaves. Invisible Children is trying to raise awareness to this problem. Kony is also now one of the most wanted men from the International Criminal Court.
This is important because we should be able to help these innocent people in a time of need if we are capable of doing so. It’s interesting because so many people do not know it of. If our country can take some soldiers and a little time we could help get rid of Kony. The least we could do is raise awareness about this situation.

In this article it describes weather or not throwing curve balls at a young age can contribute to injuries. Little Leagues have done everything they have done attempting to ban throwing breaking balls and also limit the number of pitches that you could throw. Still, doctors are confused with the amount of people that come in that have been throwing curve balls that hurt their arms and studies showing that throwing them is not affecting their arms. In fact they say that amount of pitches you throw and for instance throwing a fastball will have a pretty same affect. Johna Mihalik stats “There was no association between throwing curveballs and injuries or even arm pain,” So, why worry?

This is important because everybody needs to come to a conclusion on weather throwing curves hurt you arm so they can make new regulations. This is an interesting development because it is a large controversy throughout the United States. It demonstrates an issue because many kids are hurting their arms but scientists have not come to a conclusion on why. This article was interesting because I used to play little league and my arm hurt often so I wanted to know why it did. Kids should not be able to throw curves because it is little league and not the majors. They should just focus on the basics and have fun!
