  1. “Kodak to stop making digital cameras”

In this article it explains how Kodak is discontinuing the Digital camera business. Kodak is trying to license the company to another. Kodak said that they would still continue with the warranties, technical support and services. Kodak will also keep making accessories and batteries. They will also continue the inkjet printer too. One quote from the president of Kodak, Pradeep Jotwani, was, “Todays Announcement is the logical extension of that process, given our analysis of the industry trend.” Kodak also said they estimate the move would save them $100 Million annually.
Kodak is a long lasted, known, camera name brand. Now that Kodak is going out of business, there are many people that have worked there without that job. This is probably very important to all the Kodak fans that now suffer to the fact that Kodak is now going bye bye.

Man Pleads Guilty to Making Online Threats Against ‘South Park’ Creators
    By DAVE ITZKOFF
    http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/02/09/man-pleads-guilty-to-making-online-threats-against-south-park-creators/?ref=us

A man was arrested On Thursday for making threatening comments on a religious website towards the creators of the Show “South Park”. The Man Jesse Curtis Morton, Who Also goes by Younus Abdullah Mohammad and his friend Zachary A. Chesser had wrote on a public website that Show had aired a offensive episode mocking Muslim religion and belief. In the Episode The citizens of South Park, encounter a bear wearing a cape, who is proclaimed to be a Muslim Prophet. Back when the episode had first aired on tv, a message had appeared that the ““South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone “will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show.””

This is important because it teaches that the idea of threatening is slowly being taken into serious measures. It demonstrates an issue of racism also, Mocking religion. The article seemed to be interesting because it is the creators of a funny show, who are getting threatened for showing ignorance. Overall This article shows that People can’t go around saying and doing whatever People believe or want, but it also shows that people’s overall beliefs don’t matter as much.

  3. In this article 700 people suffered from food poisoning in southern Mexico. Officials are testing the food and drinks for anything that would have caused this. This event was a rally for Sergio Dolores Flores who is running for congress as a candidate for Mexico’s institutional revolutionary party.
This article demonstrates an issue because they need to find out what caused 700 people to get food poisoning. It is interesting because all the people at the rally got sick.

  4. Madison Park. "Measles cases found after Super Bowl festivities." CNN. 2/9/12. 2/9/12

    http://thechart.blogs.cnn.com/2012/02/09/measles-case-found-after-super-bowl-festivities/?hpt=hp_bn10

This article is about how two different confirmed cases of the Measles were brought to attention shortly after the super bowl festivities. The measles is a highly contagious respiratory disease that can be spread through sneezing, and coughing. One of the patients had visited a super bowl party in downtown Indianapolis; over 200,000 other people were attending as well. The patient felt ill immediately after leaving the party and then decided to go to a doctor, Dr. Gregory Larkin said that it was a good thing the party was outdoor: “When you’re outdoors with the wind blowing and so forth, it’s a less contagious atmosphere.” Doctors and the center of Disease Control Prevention are working hard to contain, and control this outbreak that could easily become fatal.

This article is extremely important because it involves such a dangerous disease. If this outbreak isn’t maintained, or stopped then the outcome could be really bad for many people. Since the measles are very contagious, it’s very scary to think what would happen if it continued to spread. This article is interesting because nowadays there aren’t very many confirmed cases of the measles, but all of a sudden now there are two. It’s kind of ironic that something as bad as this happened literally right after something so great as the Giants winning the super bowl.

  5. Chris Dignam.- “ Vending machine dispenses emergency contraception” - CNN on web – Wednesday Feb 8 2012 - Thursday Feb 9th 2012 - http://www.cnn.com/2012/02/08/us/plan-b-vending-machine/index.html?hpt=us_t5

In this article a Pennsylvania university is now supplying the contraceptive Plan B One Step in a vending machine for students. They took a survey at the school and 85% of the students liked the idea. This gives students over 17 years old an easy way to get this pill for a price of 25 dollars, which is the same price as the university pays. “ This machine is really used as much for privacy as anything else, if a student wants to come in,” VP of student Affairs told CNN affiliate”. Although what is remarkable is that you can get this Plan B just like you get a can of soda which make it very easy for students who only have 72 hours to take this pill after intercourse.

This is important because girls need an alterative for stupid mistakes made and this is a quick and easy way to get the pill. This might be an issue for people who do not believe that students should have this type of capability. Perhaps this may cause more unsafe sex because students know they have the pill just in case? This is interesting because this school is selling the pill just like someone would buy a can of soda. The University was smart for making the pill easy to get so students don’t have to be embarrassed and take the chance of having a kid and ruing there life.

  6. Zuckerbrot, Tanya. “Where is salt hiding in your diet?” Fox News On the Web 9 Feb. 2012, http://www.foxnews.com/health/2012/02/09/where-is-salt-hiding-in-your-diet/

This passage states that heart disease is the leading cause of death in the US. A highly possibly cause for it is sodium. “Americans are consuming almost double the daily limit of sodium each day!” says Tanya Zuckerbrot. Not many Americans read every label on their food but some might want to start checking it out. The sodium intake should 250-500mg per day. There are many low-sodium foods to help you get back on track.

This article is important because this is affecting people all around us everyday. Consuming too much sodium can lead to a rise in blood pressure, and is a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke. Which are all issues people go through everyday. The article was very interesting because almost everything has sodium in it.

George Huguely, is a University of Virginia lacrosse player accused of fatally beating his ex-girlfriend. He is facing charges including first-degree murder of his ex-girlfriend. The plaintiff said he wrote an email to her before her death saying, "I should have killed you" and Love responded, "You should have killed me?". The death of her was slow and painful and the trail is going on. He is pleading involuntary manslaughter which still has a sentence of 10 years.

This is an important issue because it shows that you always have to watch what you do even if your in a good situation. He was in an amazing school and on a D1 lacrosse team and he ruined it because he let his anger get the best of him. The article is interesting because it is hard to understand why you would do something so bad when you are in one of the best schools. This demonstrates the issue that people start to think they are above the law when they are in a higher up place in society.

    Washingtonhttp://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/09/sports/basketball/jeremy-lin-leads-knicks-again-107-93-over-wizards.html?_r=1&ref=sports
This article is about the Harvard graduate Jeremy Lin. He plays PG for the New York Knicks. Most people have not heard of him because his talent has came out of nowhere. Lin had a great game Wednesday against the Washington Wizards in a 107-93 win. He scored 23 points and a career high 10 assists. They had chanted Lin’s name in the crowd following Lin’s great game. Lin had been a 3rd string point guard for weeks now and his motivation and determination had gotten him to start!

This is important to the people of Washington because they had just lost another game, which affects their season. Lin’s great play lately can affect the NBA because he is playing great and it will create problems for teams trying to compete against the Knicks. This article is very interesting because I am a huge Knicks fan and also he’s the 2nd player in history to make it to the NBA coming out of Harvard! Lin is a great player and an inspiration for young athletes around the globe.

  9. Brian Stelter. “Youths Are Watching, but Less Often on TV” New York Times Feb. 8, 2012 < http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/09/business/media/young-people-are-watching-but-less-often-on-tv.html?_r=1&ref=technology >

In the article it talked about how more Americans that are 12 – 34 years old aren’t watching t.v. as much as people used to but people over 65 are. Most people are on the Internet like on the social networks, playing video games, watching Internet videos, and on their cell phones. The article talked about that because of new technology people are starting to watch their shows on computers and phones instead of using their t.v. Technology is always updating and as Mr. Carr said, “Young people are always the first group to be doing other things, trying other things.” Young people show adults the new things that then show others so it’s like a never-ending chain with technology updating.

This is important because people should learn what technology is doing to our society and that young people are the ones that will depend on in the future. This article demonstrates an issue because people are leaving back the old stuff for the new technology that’s ruining society. It’s an interesting development because people think that everyone is watching t.v. but in reality they’re using their ipads, cellphones, computers, etc. to watch their shows. This article was interesting because usually people watch their shows on t.v. but things are changing and technology is advancing so fast that probably t.v. won’t be needed in the future.

    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/02/09/chinese-eagle-dad-forces-nearly-naked-son-4-to-run-around-in-new-york-snow/

A dad from china, forces his 4 year old son to run around and do push in the snow with nothing but underwear and sneakers on. The dad says" You need to push an eagle off the cliff edge to teach it to use his wings." and thats what he did for his son.

The father of the 4 year old says that you need to push an eagle off the cliffside to teach it to use its wings, this however is a 4 year old boy, who is not learning anything by being tortured, running naked in the snow, begging for love from his father and being told to do push ups. The boy will not get anything out of this experience, expect bad memories. This article is interesting because who in there right mind would ever do this to their son, and then put it on youtube.

  11. Does Foot Form Explain Running Injuries?
    By Gretchen Reynolds
    http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/02/08/why-runners-get-injured/?ref=health

Adam I. Daoud and David Leiberman are two scientists and former high school track and cross country runners who are faced with a task and an experiment. They wondered whether how your foot hits the ground affects your injury risk. Most people nowadays hit the ground heel-first, and shoe companies found this out and make running shoes well cushioned in the heel area. After research they have found out that hunter-gatherers in the early days ran with the balls of the feet hitting the floor. So the question is which method is better to risk injury.... Forefoot striking or heel striking. After research using track athelites at Harvard University, it has been determined that forefoot striking is better form. Mr Daoud says “Give your body time!” meaning changing your running form to forefoot striking.

This article is important because it gives children and teens a good understanding of safety about proper running technique in a modern society in which we arent getting out hour of physical activity a day. This is an issue because it can cause serious injury to your foot and with people with bright futures ahead of them it can be a tragic end to a career. This is just something to keep cautious of, not to scare people.

A North Carolina bus driver saved the lives of six elementary school kids after getting them off a school bus. She was on her usual route and smelled smoke so pulled over to check it out and got all the kids off the bus calmly. After getting off the bus and walking far up the road the bus caught on fire. Charlotte-Mecklenburg School said she did it correctly and if she didn’t the result could have been different, also that we will get credit for her saving children’s lives. "I do have two kids, and I do love children, (and) I love my job," Lindora Richardson says.
This is important because if she did her job any differently the result would be very different right now. And it’s important because she saved lives. It demonstrates an issue because she deserves credit for the good thing she did and if she doesn’t that’s a problem. It’s interesting because hearing news about good people and knowing that there’s still good people out there makes me happy. The moral of the story is that good people still exist and people do save lives and I wish the world was full of more good people. -Erin Moloney

  13. Today the federal government announced there has been a 25 billion dollar mortgage settlement to aid about one million homeowners. This settlement is meant to help people that are going into foreclosure or owe more on their house than it is worth. Shaun Donovan, secretary of Housing and Urban Development said the deal shows that "we can still get big things done in this country." The states with the highest foreclosure rates California and Florida, will receive the most money. The banks involved in the settlement are Bank of America, JP MOrgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Citigroup and Ally.
The article adresses the problem many Americans are having since the housing market has declined. This settlement will give many Americans help to stay in their houses rather than having the home go into foreclosure. Money provided in the settlement may help solve the current housing market decline. Although the settlement provides assistance to those people who took out large mortgages on homes they could never pay for, it does nothing for responsible people who took mortgages they could afford.

  14. Mark Lander and David E. Sanger. "U.S. and Israel Split on Speed of Iran Threat." New York Times on the Web 8 Feb. 2012. 10 Feb. 2012

Israel and the United States have been involved in a system of bullying on the international stage through their selective trading and military involvements. Only now as Iran is on the crest of becoming a major player in the small group of nuclear nations does America/Israel consider itself at risk. This article in particular discusses Iran as nuclear seeking country and the USA/Israeli responses to this "perceived" threat.
The importance of this is staggering, since it could represent possibly another Libya where the United Nations led a military air effort. And what worries many including myself is that an air campaign could turn into a boot on the ground operation since Iran is far larger than Libya or even Iraq and Afghanistan. You can already tell we have an intelligence operation in Iran, since car bombs have "mysteriously" killed many of their top nuclear scientists. Overall though this article was informative to a majority of the talking points in this issue but I felt they neglected to inform the reader of Israeli mossad assassinations of Iranians and a 1953 coup that turned a large number of Iranians against us to this present day. And to resolve this issue we need to stop the provocation and deception among all three of these Nations discussed.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/10/sports/basketball/jeremy-lins-success-with-knicks-surprises-everyone.html?_r=1&ref=sports

This article is about the Knicks new player Jeremy Lin. He was a graduate from Harvard and has helped the Knicks out a lot. When the Knicks were playing the Wizards in Washington they were down and Carmelo Anthony was injured so they put Lin in with 20 min left in the game and he had produced 23 points and 10 assist. The Kicks had gone to win that game in Washington 107-93.
This article is inspiring because most people do not work as hard as Jeremy Lin and he has showed how hard he has been working and he has moved from 3rd string to 1st string. He was also one of the two people that had made the NBA from graduating from Harvard. This article was interesting because my family is huge Knick’s fans. Jeremy Lin has worked hard to get where he is at and he will probably keep producing good numbers and there will be more and more articles about his success.

The bus driver is a truly heroic person, she saved 6 innocent children's lives and her own without any injuries out of the goodness of her heart.

He was on the court for 20 minutes and he had 9 point and 6 assists. In the past years a lot of people have been looking over him. Lin was smart and good at work.

When a North Carolina bus driver smelt smoke on her usual route, she rushed 6 elementary school students off the bus, saving their lives moments before the bus burst out into flames. As she got the young students off the bus she described them as "calm" as they exited the burning bus. Thankfully, there were no injuries prior to this accident. The bus driver, Lindora Richardson will be honored next week for her heroic action.
This is important because if this woman acted any differently or didn't take proper precautions, the young students on the bus could have been seriously injured or worse. Also, Richardson should not be so modest about her actions and be proud of herself and happily accept her credit for doing such an amazing thing. Not only did she save the the young students but also put her life in danger by doing so. This article was interesting because it shows that people really do good things for other people even if it means putting your own life at risk. This article is talking about how Obama is announcing a plan to change birth control rule. Religious priests and etc are against birth control and refuse to pay the taxes of this for the women. “The white house received back lash to the measure from Catholic clergy as well as republican leaders.” Administration said that religious employers had to cover the birth control as care for women. Churches and places of worship were exempt. But all other affiliated organizations were ordered to pay.
This is important because if the churches and worship places are refusing and going against paying for the birth control. If the president makes a rule about it, he will be exempting them and then they will be happy. In order to keep birth control selling, you need people to pay. Everyone does and the churches even though birth control is against their religion, they need to be responsible. This is an interesting topic because you hear so much on how religions against so much, that Obama’s actually doing something about it.

    9 Feb.2012. http://www.cnn.com/2012/02/09/polictics/state-education/index.html

Summary: Many states want to resign from the law that says, “No Child Left Behind.” The law, “No Child Left Behind,” means that educators are held to a certain level of teaching so all children will get a thorough education. The following states will apply for a waiver of this law; they include Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, Oklahoma, and Tennessee which will enable them to not have to meet 2014 targets set by the law. With this waiver, faculty will have more freedom to teach as they feel suitable and have more creative ability. The President has said, “This is not a one-year project, this isn't a two-year project. This is going to take some time, but we can get it done.”

Analysis: This is important because now educators will have more freedom and less pressure to teach to the state exams. It could demonstrate an issue because all states will not be teaching the same way. It’s an interesting development because the government is giving more control to the school as long as they meet certain standards. The article is interesting because I never knew that faculty faced these kind of problems. It is understood that a teacher would have to teach a certain curriculum but the government shouldn’t be able to hold teachers accountable if the students don’t want to learn.

http://nflsoup.com/?p=20853 “NFL Soup” “Tom Brady’s wife Gisele Bundchen Goes off on Patriots’ receivers” February 7,2012

After a tough loss Sunday Night against the Giants in Super Bowl 46, nothing more could go wrong for Brady until after the game. After the game Brady’s supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen was exiting the stadium when heckling Giants fans made her explode. After many statements such as “Eli owns your husband,” she had had enough stating, “My husband cannot f---ing throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped it so many times.” She then finally left in the elevator.

It is very amusing to hear the wife of such a superstar be so critical of her husband’s team’s performance. It isn’t very often we here the wife make comments like this. Even though Gisele’s comments are very true, it is not smart criticizing your husband’s teammates as it may cause friction between Tom and his teammates. It will be very interesting to see how this progresses but Gisele should keep her comments to herself next time and let the sports analysts make the comments.

Tyler was practicing at Total Sports Experience when this happened. Authorities say he was wearing all the correct protective gear and that there was no intent to hurt Tyler on the play, it was all routine.
Tyler was in the 7th grade attending Twelve Corners Middle School. Summary:
This article is about a new law requiring health insurance plans provided by Catholic universities and charities to offer free birth control to women. The Democratic Party approves of this law, while the Republican Party does not. The white house secretary says “We are committed, the president is committed, to ensuring that women have access to contraception without paying any extra costs, no matter where they work.”
    Analysis:
This is important because too many girls are getting pregnant. This is an issue because it leads to them feeling guilty for getting abortions and if they don’t get an abortion they have children when they aren’t ready for it, which is a huge responsibility. This article is interesting because I think it would reduce the amount of unwanted pregnancy. If the law gets passed it will be effective and it will be worth it

In America, the average person will overeat and will supersize their meals when asked at any restaurant. From when we are born, we were always taught as children to finish are food and clean our plates. But instead of overeating things that are healthy, we tend to overeat unhealthy things such as fast food. Since, you can get more food for less money, people eat it all and occasionally go there. America needs to start eating larger portions of healthy food instead to keep the obese rate down.

This is important because obesity is a world issue and it’s an ongoing problem in the US. This article was interesting because it told why some people are obese in the US and how there’s an ongoing movement to stop obesity. Obesity is known worldwide and it should be stopped before the whole world goes fat.

Some fighters are subject to mandatory drug tests after a title fight like this. On the drug test everything else was negative except for Marijuana. He is now suspended for six months from fighting in the UFC.
This is important because this is a very key fight in the UFC. This article was interesting because it is about a title fight were a UFC champion loses his belt and gets suspended for 6 months. In the UFC Marijuana should be used as a pain relivier for fighters like Vicoden.

  31. As ‘Yuck Factor’ Subsides, Treated Wastewater Flows From Taps

    http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/10/science/earth/despite-yuck-factor-treated-wastewater-used-for-drinking.html?ref=science

According to the article "As 'Yuck Factor' Subsides, Treated Wastewater Flows from Taps" Felicity states that the increase in population in the southwest in placing a high demand on drinking water. Municipalities are now looking for other options to provide the communities with fresh drinking water. The main option is to reclaim recycled wastewater. However, the public is having a difficult time accepting this procedure. Although 1 million gallons of water are recycled daily in San Diego that make up less than one precent of all the water used in the united States. In order to meet the increasing demands of the increasing population Barrenger thinks it is necessary to recycle all waste water.

This is important because water is one of the most under valued resources one earth and we need to conserve it. Just because it is easy to get out of the ground right now doesn't mean that it will be later on. In the future people will need more and more of water and theres nowhere to get water except earth. The article was intriguing because it relate to every person on earth because all of us drink water in some way shape or form. Countries will have to find new was to recycle and find water that is easily accessible to people in the future.

  32. “Dangerous Path to Legal Status for Some Immigrants”

When Tania Nava was seven, she came over to the United States as an illegal immigrant along with her parents. When striving for her citizenship about 14 years later, she had to move back to Juarez, Mexico as her husband, Jake Reyez-Neal, and 2-year-old son moved later on to protect her. Jake did not speak Spanish and he was scared living in one of the most dangerous cities in the world, so he wrote a letter to the consulate asking for his wife to live in the United States while waiting for her citizenship. Outside of the family home in Juarez, Jake and Nava’s Uncle were both shot more than 80 times in a suspected robbery attack. “The last thing I heard was him saying, ‘I don’t speak Spanish,’ ‘No hablo espaƱol,’ and that’s it. And then I just heard the shots, and then I waited for a little bit because I was scared to go down there.” -Tania
This article is important because our country is overwhelmed with the amount of illegal immigrants in our country. It’s very sad what immigrants go through to get into our country, or to get their citizenship after being here illegally for so many years. But the immigrants who are waiting for their citizenship should be allowed to live safely in the time being. The right thing of Tania’s parents would have been to get citizenship before coming into the country illegally. If all of our ancestors came through Ellis Island legally way back when, the immigrants now should be able to do it legally as well. The upsetting event about this article is the fact that Jake was attacked and murdered while in Juarez to protect his family.

    Summary:

Top 10 richest soccer clubs in the world. With Real Madrid at first place with $636.5 million euros for the year of 2011 and Barcelona trailing Real Madrid by $599 million euros. With Barcelona earing $40 million euro just from one sponsor and $68 million with the Champions League from beating Man United. After Barcelona won the Fifa’s Club World Cup in December could count for next year since they won in 1012 the Clubs World Cup.” This may allow it to narrow, or even bridge, the gap to Real Madrid," Deloitte sports business group partner Dan Jones said.

    Analysis:

This is important because it’s a worldwide known sport and its only getting more popular through the years. Many people may think that this is just ridiculous money being spent but to many this is more then a sport it’s almost a religion in South American and Europe. Its interesting to see how a sport is really a business and how much money can be spent on players, trips, coaches etc. for those who fallow and are big fans can be knowledge more about their sport and how much is really spend in soccer and other sports as well. Reading this article has shown that its not just putting on a jersey and running around after a ball, theirs more required to soccer.

  36. Syria TV: 25 killed, 175 wounded in Aleppo blasts

Two explosions took place in the Syrian city of Aleppo on Friday, Feb. 10th. The explosions killed 25 people, and wounded about 175 others. Aleppo is Syria's economic center. Anti-Assad activists accused the regime of setting off the blasts to overt protests that had been planned in the city on Friday. The explosion was said to be near a playground with children playing and the second blast went off outside the headquarters of a police force in another part of the city. "Despite the blasts, we will go out and protest today," protestor, Abu-Nasr said.

Analysis: This is an event happening in Syria, and it is convenient to know what is going on and how we can help around. This is quite a tragedy even if it didn’t involve too many people; some lost their lives during this conflict. It’s not a thing that must be continued and should end.

This article says 10 states receive the leeway from no child left behind law ,which was the law to get all students to grade level in reading and math by 2014.The main goal of the act is to help nation’s poor children to get same level of education, but many people criticize the deadline of 2014 is unrealistic. The law is too rigid to get a positive effect for students.Mandatory goals are set up for schools to enforce students to meet the requirements.Under No Child Left Behind, schools that don’t meet requirements for two years or longer face increasingly tough consequences, including busing children to higher-performing schools, offering tutoring and replacing staff.

The set of goal for children’ educational future ,it is important for government focuses on the hope of children to be the pillar of nation in the future. No child left behind law helps the children to get a better education. But this mandatory goal disturbs the teaching of schools , seems to make improvements even harder. Many states try to get leeway from the law.So is the law work in a positive way becomes a issue . A law originally helps the students ,but accidentally works in a negative way .

    http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/09/world/europe/russian-scientists-bore-into-ancient-antarctic-lake.html?_r=1&ref=science
On February 8, 2012 Russian Scientists drilled into ice more than 2 miles deep and reached a freshwater lake. This happened in Antarctica, one of the most coolest places on earth. They have been drilling in this area for about a decade. They say the freshwater lake that they found is the size of Lake Ontario. "The ice that has kept it sealed off from light and air for somewhere between 15 million and 34 million years" this quote from the article is cool because who knows what else is down there.
This Article is important because this is the first time we have drilled there and new living things can be discovered. Since we its been 15 to 34 million years since the air has hit that freshwater lake the creatures living in it could have a huge impact on scientists research in the way things can survive in extreme conditions. Also if living things are there then there might be living creatures on the moons of Jupiter because it has the same conditions.

  41. AP sources: Obama revamping birth control policy
    Published: February 10, 2012 10:20 AM
    By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

In the article it stated that President Barack Obama would be making all birth control and contraception the responsibility of insurance companies. "Obama's abrupt shift is an attempt to satisfy both sides of a deeply sensitive debate.." Religious employers don't have to cover birth control anymore. Its a positive way to make birth control personal away from religious workplaces.

This is important because birth control should be confidential information since it can be used for many different medical reasons other then birth control. The issue demonstrated is that religious workers shouldn't be responsible for workers medical issues. The article was interesting because many religions don't support premarital sex or sexual relations without intentions of reproducing. This is absolutely the right choice, religion and medical information should not be grouped together.

European countries made another bailout package of 130 billion euros for Greece. There was a big meeting of the financial leaders in the EU to discuss where the money should be used. The European Central bank and others who aided the bailout package are putting pressure on Greece to make a first redemption of 14.5 billion Euros by March.
Greece is cutting public spendings and lower wages as first steps.

This is a very important bailout package because otherwise the whole Euro-system would crash. It is very risky even though it is the right thing to do. If the aid isn’t enough or isn’t used right it will end in a catastrophe.

"Pit Bulls Against McDonald's." I chose to read the article McDonald’s pulls ad after pit bull owner outrage. This article is about the McDonald’s ad in Kansas City, which has a picture of Chicken Nuggets and a picture of a pit bull saying which is safer eating this or petting this? Many people found this very offensive toward pit bulls and wanted more then an apology. People wanted McDonald’s to donate money to some pit bull organizations and have them make a positive ad featuring a pit bull.
This article is important because pit bulls are not the one’s to blame in this type of situation. People give pit bulls a bad reputation just from the bad stories that are told. The one’s to blame are the people that buy these dogs and force them to be aggressive only to use them for fighting. Others neglect these dogs and cause them to be scared not knowing who to trust. So don't blame this poor defenseless animal for something thats not their fault.

Iranian scientists are being killed. These scientists are nuclear engineering scientists. The Iranian government blame the U.S., Israel, and the U.K. for these murders. The U.S. and U.K. say that they have no hand in the matter at all. Israel on the other hand has not denied it. Hilary Clinton states "in the strongest possible terms. ... The scourge of terrorism is an affront to the entire international community."

Terrorism is a huge important issue. It starts war and conflict for anybody and everybody. The murdering of scientists is a problem because now Iran may feel the need to avenged their fallen and attack Israel for what has been done.
This article explains why this is an issue and a scary one at that. If this gets out of hand it may be Israel's war. And knowing our U.S. government, America will get involved.
War is a huge issue and nobody wants it. But Iran may start a war if Israel keeps up this up. Iran could use this as a scapegoat to start a war.

In Hanover, PA, a local music studio has opened up a rehab center within their studio to rehabilitate locals that are addicted to drugs, alcohol, etc. The facility allows people to recover by telling their stories through musical composition. “How they interpret a song – the therapist is able to see things that they might not be able to talk about,” says Justin Daniels. He started this program because his brother in law died of a drug overdose in 1995. Because the clinic has been successful, it has been able to launch their own record label, Iron Ridge Recordings.

This is important because some people aren’t able to express certain feelings to people they don’t know unless its through song. Even though some people might have never picked up an instrument before, they are taught how to play the instrument. This program is rarely found in rehab programs so this helps people cope with their addiction through something they love.
