We Kiva Because...

So, our Kiva Team is set up, and we're actually in the process of making our loans!  We do have a couple more things to do, one of which is making our "Why We Kiva" blurb!  Check our the other Kiva teams and what they have to say, and then check out our Team site, and then . . . think, think, think!  Come up with a tag for us to use for the site and also for our "Why We Kiva" video to upload to the Kiva YouTube site!  Leave your wonderful thoughts on this matter right here on our blog!

Current Event-3/30



Task:   Students will be responsible for completing a weekly current event blog.  Current event responses must follow the guidelines below:








MLA Citation:
·      Articles in print
o   Author of Article. "Name of article." Name of Newspaper [City Published] Date Published, Edition, Section: Page Number of Article.
o   Tanzil, Sarah. "Red Sox Win World Series." Chicago Tribune 8 Oct. 2004, late edition: B14-15.
·      Articles online
o   Author of Article. "Name of article." Name of Newspaper Date Published. Date Accessed <URL>.
o   Somashekar, Darshan. "Bioethics and Religion." New York Times on the Web 8 Oct. 2004. 10 Oct. 2004 <http://www.nytimes.com/bioethics>.


Summary (one paragraph):
·      Summarize the content of the article
·      Focus on the key elements
·      State the facts as presented in the article
